National Assembly adopts two resolutions in the house unanimously

ISLAMABAD: (APP) National Assembly adopts two resolutions in the house unanimously

 

The National Assembly on Tuesday adopted two private members resolutions unanimously that the government should take steps to ensure observance of appointment quota for Balochistan in federal departments and ensure the use of quality paper for printing of the Holy Quran.

 

Naeema Hafeez Panezai and Naeema Kishwer Khan moved the said resolutions respectively in the House.

 

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq put the resolutions for votes after not opposing by the treasury benches.

 

Meanwhile, as many as six reports of Standing Committees on Cabinet Secretariat and Interior and Narcotics Control were presented in the House.

 

Chairman Standing Committee on Cabinet Rana Muhammad Hayat Khan and Javed Ali Shah on behalf of Chairman Standing Committee on Interior presented the reports.

 

The Speaker also referred the amendments proposed in the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the National Assembly by Naeema Kishwer Khan and others to the concerned committee for deliberation.

 

They sought amendment in the rule 122 of the Rules of Procedure under which the committee would be bound to give its report on any bill referred to it within six months.
