Bomb Blast in Quetta near Baluchistan University

QUETTA: Two Policemen have been martyred while several people injured today in a blast near Baluchistan University at Sariab Road. The intensity of the explosion was so loud that the voice was heard over four kilometer away from the place of blast.
As per initial reports, Police teams have arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area while wounded are being shifted to nearby hospital by rescue teams. A large number of students of university and schools were going to their homes when the blast took place near Baluchistan university at Sariab Road.
At least two policemen lost their lives in this incident while 10 people sustained critical injuries who had been shifted by rescue teams nearby hospital. Emergency has been declared by local administration in all hospitals.
Bomb Disposal Squad also arrived at the scene however they could not ascertain yet the intensity of the blast and amount of explosive material.
The intensity of the blast was so high as the windows of nearby buildings broke while cars and rickshaws were also damaged with the intensity of the blast.
Baluchistan Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti arrived at the blast scene and expressed his grief over the loss of precious lives in the blast. Talking to media he said that blast occurred near Baluchistan University at check post while two policemen have been martyred and three are wounded.
Baluchistan CM Nawaz Sanaullah also expressed his deep grief and offered condolence with bereaved families. He ordered to provide complete medical facilities to the injured in the blast and sought a report from security institutions.
