UNMOGIP: Indo-Pak UN mission new head appointed

NEW YORK: A Swedish military official has been appointed as new head of UN mission to monitor Jammu and Kashmir ceasefire line between India and Pakistan.
As per report, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon appointed Major General Per Gustaf Lodin as chief military observer and head of UN Military Observer Group in India Pakistan (UNMOGIP).
Major General Ldin will succeed Major General Delali Johnson Sakyi of Ghana who will complete his two years tenure as Chief Military Observer and Head of Mission for the UMMOGIP on July 2.
Major General Lodin started his career in Swedish military in 1978 and also served as Director of Procurement and Logistics for the Swedish Armed Forces.
