Abdullah Abdullah criticizes Taliban for not ending violence July 10, 2020

ISLAMABAD-In Afghanistan, head of High Council for National Reconciliation, Abdullah Abdullah has criticized Taliban for not ending violence in the country and preventing the peace process from moving forward.

He made the remarks at end of a four-day meeting titled "Strengthening Regional and International Consensus" attended by representatives of at least 20 countries and international organizations, including United States and United Nations.

Abdullah Abdullah said emphasis in the meeting was on Afghan-led, Afghan-owned, sustainable and inclusive peace and on preserving the achievements of the last 19 years. 

He stressed that both Afghan government and Taliban should negotiate in good faith to make compromises in achieving higher shared objectives.
