China urges US to immediately cancel arms sales to Taiwan

China called on the United States to withdraw a potential 2.2 billion dollars arms sale to Taiwan.
Spokesman of foreign ministry Geng Shuang strongly opposed the action at a daily news briefing in Beijing on Tuesday.
Earlier, the U.S. State Department approved the possible sale to Taiwan of M1A2T Abrams tanks, Stinger missiles and related equipment.
