Defense Analysts say the US cannot afford total disengagement with Pakistan due to its geostrategic location.
Speaking in Radio Pakistan's News and Current Affairs program, they said Pakistan's stance on Donald Trump's scathing remarks was very clear.
Dr Muhammad Khan said the civilian and military leadership have made it clear that no compromise will be made on sovereignty of the country. He said friendly countries like China are standing by Pakistan.Abdul Wajid said the US has a hidden agenda and it wants to establish Indian hegemony in the region which is not acceptable to Pakistan.
He said the US can not establish peace in Afghanistan without Pakistan.
Retired Brigadier Tipu Sultan said there is realization in the educated segment of the US that Donald Trump's policies are further denting US image at the international level. He said it is in the interest of the US to engage with Pakistan and remove the mistrust in relations.
