NSA for regional cooperation to resolve Afghan issue

National Security Advisor Nasser Khan Janjua has called for cooperation among the regional and International players to seek an early closure of the Afghan conflict to pave the way for realising the economic potential of the region.

He was speaking at the 2nd Tehran Security Conference in Tehran. The Advisor said decades old conflict in neighbouring Afghanistan has created problems for the neighbouring countries and threatened peace and security of the region and beyond.

He said regional issues should be addressed within a framework of cooperation and collaboration instead of competition and confrontation.
