Pakistan grills India on the eve of International Human Rights Day

Islamabad: Pakistan highlighted the Worst situation of Human Rights in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and recalled for implementation on UN Charter, UN Security Council Resolutions And International Law to end oppression of the people of IIOJK.

Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Spokesperson issued a press release here on the eve of International Human Rights Day.

Pakistan reaffirmed its resolve to respect and uphold Human dignity and to promote human rights agenda without any distinction or discrimination.

As a Progressive and Democratic State Pakistan is mindful of its International Commitments and Obligations at International level and equally at home. Nationally Pakistan Instituted a wide range of people centric policy measures which were anchored by the government to reshape the state of Madinah established by our holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Bolstered by our Constitution, Progressive legislation, administrative reforms and institutions building, Pakistan Action are particularly aimed at the disadvantaged by seeking to reduce inequalities and expand access to education, health care and employment opportunities.

Pakistan response to COVID-19 has been comprehensive with special focus on vulnerable groups.

On the eve of Human Rights Day, we must particularly keep in our thoughts and prayers the oppressed people in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). Who are not only denied their inalienable right of self determination for over seven decades but also facing gruesome repression on the hands of Indian Occupation Forces. UN Office of the High Commissioner for the Human Rights (UNHCR) has comprehensively documented gross and systematic violations of Human Rights by India in IIOJK twice in recent years.

Pakistan reiterates it’s Call on International Community to hold India accountable for serious crimes against the Kashmiri people in IIOJK. India must be called upon to accept a UN Commission of inquiry for an independent and impartial investigation of the situation in IIOJK and fully respect the human rights and fundamental freedoms of the Kashmiri people.
