Pakistani and Sri Lankan Skippers held press conference ahead of the historic test match in Rawalpindi

ISLAMABAD - National Cricket Team Captain Azhar Ali has said the players are upbeat about the Test series against Sri Lanka.

Addressing a news conference in Rawalpindi on Tuesday, he said the Srilankans are not an easy side. They are very disciplined and the Greenshirts will have to perform to the best of their abilities to outclass them in the ground.

He said the team for the first test against Sri Lanka will be selected keeping in view the conditions and the pitch of Rawalpindi ground.

Separately addressing a news conference in Rawalpindi, Sri Lankan Captain Dimuth Karunaratne said they are in Pakistan to play a good cricket.

He said Rawalpindi has a good pace wicket and they will try to get the maximum from the conditions.

The Sri Lankan captain said Pakistan are a good side but our players are ready to put up a good show in the test series.
