Minorities are under threat in India: Analysts

It is unfortunate that with the rise of BJP, comfort and freedom of action for affiliated Hindu extremists groups like RSS, Shiv Sena, and other extremist organizations have also increased.

The hate campaigns are becoming frequent and violent as evident from lynching of Muslims over Beef controversy, blackening the face of Muslim parliamentarians in IOK. Religious minority groups in India are consistently subject to inhuman and intolerant treatment at the hands of growing violent and extremist Hindu majority.

The international community and organizations must have to take notice of brutalities on minorities in India. Indian claim of being a secular state is not based on ground facts. Anti-Muslim sentiments have prevailed in India for quite some time in Modi’s regime.

High caste Hindus have even made the lives of low caste Hindus in India and extremist Hindus also involved in anti-Muslim propagandas. Indian current Prime Minister is also supporting the extremist organizations in the country. The religious minority communities have faced discrimination and persecution due to overly broad or ill-defined laws.

Religious tolerance has deteriorated and religious freedom violations have increased in some areas of India. Modi-led BJP has set the worst example of brutalities in Held Kashmir. Most of Indian people have been spending their lives below poverty line.

If the same Indian policies continue, then it will lead India towards isolation and destruction. International community is also adopting double standards as despite of realizing human rights violation in Occupied Kashmir, not forcing India to stop its cruel activities.

Since independence of India in 1947, numerous incidents of violence against Indian Muslims have occurred. BJP government has failed to control, the anti Muslims violence, like the demolition of Babri Mosque by Hindu mobs in December 1992 and BJP leadership is also accused of encouraging the RSS activists to hold out anti-Muslims violence.

The major world powers should take notice and not only ask the Indian government to cease Hindu violence on the Muslims in mainland India, but also ask it to end its state terrorism and the atrocities being committed on the people of disputed Jammu and Kashmir.

Hinduism not only consigns members of lower castes to a life of continuous suffering, it also teaches them to accept their sufferings as the logical consequence of their misdeeds in their previous life.
