Avenfield Reference appeal: Sharif family faces yet another setback

ISLAMABAD – Sharif family faces yet another setback in the Avenfield Reference verdict appeal case.
Islamabad High Court (IHC) Bench formed to hear the bail petitions of Sharif family in Avenfield reference dissolved once again on Friday.
The development came as Justice Amir Farooq went abroad on leave due to summer vacations.
IHC registrar office has sent the matter pertaining to formation of new bench in the case to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).
The new bench will conduct hearing over the petitions of former premier Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Capt (retd.) Safdar.
Previously, Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani also went on leave folllowing summer vacations.
The earlie three member bench was dissolved after Justice Shams Mahmood Mirza excused himself from hearing the petitions due to personal reason.
