The Nawaz Sharif convoy will not now be stopping at any intermediate stage before Gujranwala.
Earlier the convoy sped through Rawat, Mandra, Gujjar Khan and was moving at a high speed in a bid to reach Jehlum earlier as the local party leadership seemed unhappy over the delay in schedule.
State Minister Talal Ch confirmed the new strategy, saying hundreds of supporters waited for hours in Jehlum to see their leader.
