BEIJING: Chinese mainstream media has quoted number of Indian Army troops reduced down to 53 from earlier reported number of 250/ 300 at the Doklam border, as reported earlier by Indian media.
The ministry, according to the Global Times, asked India to withdraw its troops and equipment from Chinese land.
Citing the ministry, the daily said that 53 people from the Indian side remain in "Chinese territory" as of Monday.
Only 53 soldiers were present at the Doklam area, a report in a state-run daily said, quoting the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Times of India has reported.
The ministry, according to the Global Times, asked India to withdraw its troops and equipment from Chinese land.
