*PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has become the first province tosummon the provincial assembly session for the election of the ChiefMinister.*

*Governor KP has summoned the provincial assembly session on Monday, August13.*

According to a notification issued by the governor’s secretary, thegovernor has summoned the KP assembly session on Monday 10PM.

On the first day of the session, the new elected members of the provincialassembly will take oath of their office. This will be followed by theelections of the speaker, the deputy speaker and then the chief minister.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) enjoys comfortable majority in theprovincial assembly and its chief Imran Khan has nominated former sportsminister Mehmood Khan as chief minister.
