ISLAMABAD – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to arrestformer senator Ishaq Dar through Interpol in the assets reference.
The NAB has written a letter to Interior Ministry to issue red warrants forIshaq Dar.
Important documents, including perpetual warrants and Ishaq Dar’s travelhistory, have been attached with the letter.
However, the Interior Ministry has returned the application after termingit incomplete. Caretaker Interior Minister Muhammad Azam will approve thered warrants for Ishaq Dar.
In the reference against Ishaq Dar, NAB alleged that the accused hasacquired assets and pecuniary interests/resources in his own name and/or inthe name of his dependents of an approximate amount of Rs831.678 million(approx).
The reference alleged that the assets were “disproportionate to his knownsources of income for which he could not reasonably account for”.
The court has declared him a proclaimed offender over his perpetual absencefrom the trial proceedings and attached his movable and immovableproperties.
