ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Hindu Council has passed a unanimous resolutionagainst Indian aggression and vowed to support brave Pak Army for defendingmotherland.
According to a press release issued on Sunday, the Managing Committee,during its meeting held at PHC House, also termed the recent visit ofprominent parliamentarian Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani to India a remarkablepeace initiative to defuse Pakistan-India regional tensions.
In order to acknowledge the successful Pakistan Movement, Pakistan HinduCouncil also announced to dedicate upcoming Holi festival to Pakistan Day.Holi is occurring on 20th March 2019 as per Hindu lunar calendar.
“Every year the Holi festival reminds us of the victory of the good overevil. Also known as the festival of colours, it is celebrated all acrossthe world and with every passing year, it is increasing popularity amongall faiths,” the resolution said.
Pakistan Hindu Council, in connection with Holi festival and Pakistan Day,will hold a colorful mega event on Wednesday, 20th March 2019 at the ShriPanchumukhi Hanuman Temple, Soldier Bazar, Karachi. The event will start at06:30PM, dignitaries will attend at 07:30PM while it will be concluded at10:30PM.
On the occasion, a large number of Pakistani Hindu families, holdingnational flags, will be present to demonstrate their love forbeloved Pakistan.
Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, who is also patron-in-chief of Pakistan HinduCouncil, while talking to media, expressed that patriotic Pakistani Hinducommunity has decided to celebrate the Holi in a very unique way. He saidthat this year’s Holi festival will acknowledge the noble achievements ofQuaid-e-Azam and our elders to organize historic Lahore Jalsa on 23rd March1940 for passing Pakistan Resolution.
He also appealed to all segments of society to actively participate in Holicelebrations, emphasizing that their presence would deliver a positivemessage to show solidarity with Non-Muslim minorities, promote interfaithharmony, strengthen patriotic zeal and represent diverse Pakistani society,according to Quaid-e-Azam ‘s vision.
