The report from intelligence agency reveals sensational findings. According to the report, monthly, 10 million liters of Iranian oil are smuggled into Pakistan. Iranian oil smuggling occurs in the bordering regions of Loralai, Makhtar, and Boata, where trucks and tankers gather and are then distributed throughout the country by DG Khan checkposts.
Border military police officers collect 1.5 to 2 crores rupees from convoys of 100 to 150 trucks. Each tanker contains 8 to 10 thousand liters of oil, and the absence of checking on the motorway makes the smuggling route easy.
Authorities state that petrol pump owners earn millions from the illegal trade, with 30 to 40 percent of Iranian oil adulteration, causing the national economy to suffer monthly losses in the millions
