Former FM Bilawal Bhutto reacts strongly to Asif Ali Zardari's statement

Chairman of the Pakistan People's Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, expressed indifference regarding the elections in his statement, distancing himself from his father Asif Ali Zardari's statement. Bilawal once again demanded swift elections.

On Saturday, Bilawal stated that the caretaker government cannot formulate policies, and a caretaker setup should not be created. Asif Ali Zardari had expressed confidence in the Election Commission and the caretaker government in a statement issued on Saturday and said that the incumbent government should complete the projects of the Capital Investment Council and lead the country towards progress when the election is held.

Bilawal further discussed the legacy of Dr. Syed Qandil Mehndro within the Pakistan People's Party, emphasizing the warm reception of the party by the public and the readiness of party workers for elections. He mentioned the success of the People's Party in the local government elections, indicating that the message was clear: the public is with the People's Party.

Bilawal also highlighted the concerns of the people regarding food, healthcare for the elderly, and education for children, stating that the People's Party has the solutions to these issues. He discussed the economic crises during the tenures of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto, stating that if Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had become Prime Minister, there would have been an economic crisis, but Benazir Bhutto resolved economic issues. Bilawal stressed the need for leadership to address current economic challenges.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized that the current economic situation requires the People's Leader's manifesto, and the solution to national issues cannot be found overnight. He believed that if the People's Party comes to power, laborers will get their rights, but if any other government comes to power, it will be a government of the elite.

Bilawal mentioned that the demand for holding elections in 90 days was made in the Supreme Court, and it is possible to hold elections in the country within 90 days. Afterward, contact was made with the Election Commission, and they were informed of their reservations.

He announced that a People's Party Central Executive Committee meeting will take place in Lahore and called for a reduction in electricity, dollar, and sugar prices. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was on a tour of Karachi, Badin, and Hyderabad. He was warmly received in various places, and Murad Ali Shah drove Bilawal Bhutto Zardari's car during the reception. In Badin, Bilawal extended his condolences to Syed Qandil Mehndro's residence and would later depart for Hyderabad.

People's Party leader Sharjeel Memon stated that Bilawal Bhutto is not campaigning for any election but is visiting Sindh to express condolences. Bilawal Bhutto is meeting people in various regions. He also advised the media to correct their captions after the announcement of the election schedule, as the election campaign will begin.
