Pakistan - Turkey business investment opportunities explored

KARACHI: (APP) Chairperson of Sindh Board of Investment (SBI), Naheed Memon, on Thursday called on the Consul General of Turkey, Murat Mustafa Onart at Turkish Consulate here.
They discussed matters related to the promotion of trade and business between Pakistan and Turkey.
Talking to the Turkish CG, Naheed Memon said most of the offices of big companies of Turkey are located in Karachi and the SBI intends to extend every possible cooperation to these Turkish companies to expand their business.
She said a Turkish company `Arcelik' has recently brought US $215 million here which is a reflection of attractive investment opportunities for the Turkish investors in Pakistan.
She said solid waste management, transport, road network, housing, environment, health and other sectors including Fast Moving Consumer Goods FMCG) have good investment opportunities in Pakistan.
The SBI Chairperson said the tourist sites like Mohenjodaro, Gorakh Hill, Makli, Bhambhore, Chokundi and Keenjhar Lake attract a large number of tourists every year, where hotels and resort sectors got investment openings.
The Turkish CG agreed to the SBI chief and said that he will play every possible role for the promotion of investment and exchange of delegation between Pakistan and Turkey.
