Arifa Kareem IT city planned

KARACHI: (APP) Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh for Information Technology Department Dr. Sikandar Shoro has said that Arifa Kareem IT City project will be completed under Public Private Partnership mode and directed Secretary IT to formulate IT policy, frame work and ToRs of the project within 15 days.
This he said while presiding over a meeting on Arifa Kareem I.T City project here, said a statement on Friday.
Chairperson SBI Ms. Naheed Memon Secretary IT Pervaiz Ahmed Seehar, Director General, PPP unit Ali Sibtain, Director PPP unit Fahad Ansari, Director SBI, Abdul Azeem Uqaili, Deputy Secretary IT Mohammad Naeem and other officers attended meeting.
Dr. Sikandar Shoro said that all due formalities must be completed as per law to engage the consortium for finalization of financial, technical, environmental, legal and administrative matters before submission to the Chief Minister Sindh for approval.
Dr Sikandar Shoro also informed that IT Department has already procured 02 hundred acre land for Arifa Kareem IT City.
He also directed the officials to remove all the bottle necks hindering the completion of such an important project as soon as possible.
On the occasion, Ms. Naheed Memon chairperson Sindh Board of Investment informed that we are facing some hindrance from revenue department which need to be resolved jointly.
She also informed that up till now land has been allotted to 23 educational institutes in Karachi Education city and SBI is working on the development of infrastructure.
Dr. Sikandar Shoro and Chairperson, Sindh Board of Investment also agreed that IT Department and SBI will make joint efforts to coordinate and to complete mega project of international as well as national importance.
