Jasmine Sandlas, a Punjabi singer based in America, faced death threats from the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi prior to her performance in Delhi.
Indian news agencies reported that shortly after her arrival in Delhi for a concert at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium, Sandlas received anonymous calls from international numbers.
The caller, identifying himself as Lawrence Bishnoi, threatened to attack her at the concert venue. Sandlas's team promptly contacted Southwest Delhi police upon learning of the threats, and she was provided with security at her hotel.
It's important to note that the same gang claimed responsibility for the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala last year.
Additionally, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been a target of gangster Bishnoi for his alleged involvement in killing two blackbucks, a protected species, during a film shoot.
