Israeli Defence Forces opened fire on friendly troops

After the Hamas attack, Israeli security forces remain on edge. In a tragic incident fueled by fear and apprehension, Israeli police mistakenly shot and killed one of their own citizens, believing him to be an attacker.

Other similar incidents have been reported where Israeli Defence Forces(IDF) have shot on friendly troops in a state of panic thinking of them as Hamas militants wearing IDF uniform.

Even two days after the unexpected and deadly Hamas attacks, Israeli security forces are still on high alert. They continue to view their own citizens with suspicion, fearing they might be Hamas militants.

According to international news agencies, Israeli police fatally shot one of their own citizens in Ashkelon, believing he was an attacker. No weapons were found on the deceased, and there was no evidence to suggest his involvement in the attack. It was later revealed that the person killed by Israeli police was indeed an Israeli citizen.

It's worth noting that Ashkelon is the same city where Hamas fighters and naval infiltrators had previously launched an attack on the Israeli military. The number of Israelis killed in the Hamas attack has exceeded 700, including nearly 100 soldiers.

In response, Israel has carried out airstrikes on Gaza, targeting over 800 Hamas objectives and claiming to have killed hundreds of members of the organization. The number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks has surpassed 400, with over 70 children among the casualties.
