Indian cricket team faces a huge setback

Indian cricket team's key batsman, Shubman Gill, has been ruled out of the World Cup match against Afghanistan. Shubman Gill is under the care of medical experts in Chennai and will miss India's upcoming World Cup match against Afghanistan on October 11.

The Indian team traveled from Chennai to Delhi on Monday, but Gill, who was unable to play in the opening match of the World Cup against Australia due to illness, was unable to make the journey.

The BCCI stated that Shubman Gill did not clarify the nature of his illness. In a recent update, the board announced that Shubman Gill, the opening batsman for Team India, will not be traveling with the team to Delhi on October 9, 2023.

The opening batsman, who couldn't play the team's first match in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 against Australia in Chennai, won't be part of the team for their next match against Afghanistan in Delhi on October 11.

The 24-year-old Gill has been in sensational form over the past 12 months, and this year, he has five centuries to his name in One Day Internationals.
