Imran Khan hits out at Judge over inhuman treatment endured in jailed

After the court hearing at Adiala jail, Imran Khan's lawyer in a conversation with the media, expressed Imran's strong objection to the inhumane treatment he had endured. Safdar pointed out that the former premier had refused to accept or sign the copies of the case, and he emphasized their intention to challenge the one-sided order regarding the distribution of the challan copies.

Safdar quoted Imran as saying that he merely sought the facilities outlined in the jail manual, including the opportunity for movement and exercise within the jailroom. Regarding Imran's health, Safdar noted that while the PTI chairman appeared energetic, his blood pressure was elevated due to the perceived injustices against him.

Furthermore, the PTI lawyer raised objections to the jail trial being conducted under the pretext of security concerns and called for an open hearing of the cipher case trial.

In the midst of these proceedings, the special court judge unexpectedly visited the jail cells housing both PTI leaders. After the visit, Judge Zulqarnain informed reporters that Imran had voiced his dissatisfaction with the limited walking space in his cell. Consequently, the judge announced plans to create a 60-70-feet walking area by demolishing a wall outside Imran's cell. He also mentioned the presence of a connected bathroom and described the environment as clean.

Judge Zulqarnain revealed that Sher Afzal Marwat, one of Imran's lawyers, had advised the former premier not to sign the copies of the challan. While acknowledging that Imran had received the copies, the judge noted his hesitation to sign them and mentioned that the lawyers had taken the copies with them.
