PFA bust gang carrying intestines, bones for making cooking oil

RAWALPINDI: Punjab Food Authority recovered 170 Mund bones as well as intestines and waste of animals, to be used for making substandard cooking oil, from a vehicle from here.

Director PFA Bilal Abro said the authority was conducting successful raids against the mafia playing with lives of masses by selling substandard food items in markets.

In a statement issue here on Sunday, Abro said, the accused were hailing from Rawalpindi, Attock and Taxila, who were collecting bones from other areas to run this illegal business. He said the provision of safe food to masses will be ensured at every cost.
