President urges religious scholars to spread teachings of mystic saints for promoting peace

President Arif Alvi has called upon religious scholars to spread the teachings of mystic saints for promotion of of peace, love and tolerance.
He was addressing the International Sufi Conference at Bahauddin Zakariya University in Multan today, held in connection with annual urs of great Saint of the Sub Continent Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya Soharwardy Multani Rahmatullah Alai.
The President said Sufis played important role in flourishing Islam in sub-continent.
Addressing the conference, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi said the teachings of Hazrat Bahauddin Zakariya (RA) provided guiding path for people all over of world.
He said by following the teachings of the great sufi saint, we can promote brotherhood, equality and religious harmony in our country.
