Election Commission issues notice to Imran Khan over violations

PESHAWAR: Provincial Election Commission has issued notice to Imran Khan and Moulana Fazal ur Rehman here at today for holding political rally in PK-8 constituency saying that strict action would be taken against both over the violation of election laws.
As per details, Imran Khan is going to hold public gathering in Peshawar today while Moulana Fazal ur Rehman would also address a Jalsa after few days in PK-8.
Moulana Fazal ur Rehman has been warned by Provincial ECP to cancel his political gathering because it is the violation of law otherwise strict action would be taken against him.
Regional Election Commissioner, while issuing notice to PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that to hold big political gathering in by-polls is the violation of election laws.
It is also worthy to mention here that Election Commission has already issued notice to Engineer Ameer Muqam, advisor of PM Nawaz due to announcing developmental projects in the constituency while by-polls of PK-8 is going to be held on May 12.
