CAA makes important announcement over international operations of Pakistani Airlines

Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has decided to allow new airlines to operate international flights after completing six months of domestic operations.

However, the permission will be subject to the performance of airlines which include timely departures and arrivals and operating flights on domestic social-economic routes like Sukkur, Bahawalpur, and others. ------------------------------

According to details, the CAA has taken this decision to facilitate new airlines under Aviation Policy 2021.

The authority has forwarded the recommendations to the Aviation Division which will then be sent to the Federal Cabinet for final approval. ------------------------------

Note that according to existing laws, it is mandatory for new airlines to operate domestic flights for at least one year with three aircraft before becoming eligible for international operations.

Earlier, CAA disclosed that 3 new airlines- Q-Airlines, Fly Jinnah, and Jet Green- had applied for the Regular Public Transport (RPT) permit to start operations in Pakistan. The scrutiny of Q-Airlines and Fly Jinnah had been concluded while scrutiny of Jet Green is near completion.
