AJK Govt to take action against banned outfits as well: PM

MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan Friday said that National Action Program (NAP) would be implemented in letter and spirit and action against banned outfits would be taken in line with the guideline of the government in the center.

Addressing a press conference here at his residence, Haider said that only state had the authority to use force and none of individual or organization will be allowed to hold private force to use for any purposes as these acts were the source of bad naming to the country.

He said that Pulwama attack was carried out by a local youngster ingeniously who was humiliated by Indian armed force (CRF) and no one has the right to claim the responsibility sitting here.

AJK Premier said that youths in held Kashmir had been compelled to hold guns for taking revenge of humiliation of their loved ones and brutalities and they have all the rights to fight for their liberation as fighting against occupant was no terrorism.

Paying tribute to armed forces of Pakistan, Haider said that India was refrained from any aggression against the country due to preparedness and capabilities of the army to meet the challenge and vowed to back the armed forces to defend frontiers against any aggression.

To a question, he said that the powers government of AJK had attained through 13th amendment in interim constitution will not be withdrawn in any case and only the AJK legislative Assembly had the power to amend the constitution.

He said the people living alongside the line of control (LOC) will be helped out in every respect by providing them community bunkers for their safety and health facilities for which an amount of Rs. 130 million had been provided while a scheme worth Rs. 5 billion had been sent to federal government for approval.

He said the people displaced during the recent escalation on LOC would be repatriated to their areas after the situation would calm and government will provide full assistance and support for their resettlement in their homes.
