Shaheen Shah Afridi makes history in PSL

DUBAI – Lahore Qalandars Shaheen Shah Afridi has made a new historic record in the Pakistan Super League with his five wickets haul for four runs.

Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi of Lahore Qalandar claimed five wickets by giving away only four runs in his 3.4 overs spell to restrict Multan Sultan for 114 in their Pakistan Super League encounter in Dubai on Friday.

Multan Sultans won the toss and elected to bat against Qalandars on a batting track. Kumar Sangakkara and Ahmad Shehzad gave Sultans a solid start before Narine removed Sangakkara in the ninth over when Sultans were 61 without loss and were well set for a big total. Sanga made 45 runs.

Shaheen Shah Afridi’s show started in the 16th over of Multan Sultan’s innings. He grabbed wickets of Shoaib Malik, Whiteley, Saif Badar, Junaid Khan and Muhammad Irfan. No other Multan Sultan batsman reached the double figures.
