Fiscal and growth targets to be achieved: Miftah

ISLAMABAD:Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance, Miftah Ismail has said that economic growth is consistently increasing and set fiscal and growth targets will be achieved.
He said this while talking to Permanent Secretary at Department for International Development of UK Matthew Rycroft in Islamabad.
Miftah Ismail said present government has introduced a large number of reforms in the economy, which resulted in macroeconomic stability.
He said the government continues to follow the policy of prudent financial management and would keep the fiscal deficit in check during its final year in office.
Miftah Ismail appreciated the contribution of British Government for development programmes, particularly through DFID.
They also discussed matters relating to Pak-UK bilateral cooperation including activities of DFID supporting Government's development plans and programmes. Both sides on the occasion expressed strong commitment for further consolidating Pak-UK cooperation. APP/AFP
