Protest rallies against continued house arrest of Gilani

In Muzaffarabad, protest rallies have been organized against the continued house detention of the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Gilani, in Srinagar.
A large number of people, including women and children, participated in the rallies arranged by the Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter of Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement.
The protesters strongly denounced the Indian authorities for keeping the ailing leader under continued house arrest.
They appealed to the world human rights organizations to impress upon New Delhi to lift restrictions on the free movement of the APHC Chairman and allow him to conduct his social, religious and political activities.
