Afghanistan: 16 Taliban killed in forces' operation

KABUL: In Afghanistan, at least 16 Taliban have been killed in an Afghan security forces’ operation in northern Balkh province in the past two days.
Provincial police chief Gen. Mohammad Akram Sami said operation was launched when the Taliban closed in on the Chamtal district center.
