Iran imposes sanctions against top US military officials in response to General Qasem Soleimenai assassination

Iran has slapped sanctions on fifty-one Americans including Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley and Head of Central Command Kenneth F. McKenzie Jr in response to the assassination of General Qassem Soleimani by US drone strike.

In a statement, Iran Foreign Ministry said, former National Security Adviser Robert C. O'Brien has also been targeted by the sanctions.

The ministry said, individuals on the list of sanctions participated in the decision-making, planning, organisation, financing and support, against assassination of Iranian top General Qassem Soleimani.
