Masood urges lawyers to highlight Kashmir dispute at int’l fora

President Azad Kashmir Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has urged lawyers to play their due role in highlighting longstanding Kashmir dispute in its true perspective at international fora.
He was talking to a delegation of Central Bar Association led by its President Maqbool Ur Rehman Abbasi in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday.
Sardar Masood Khan said besides ensuring rule of law, dispensation of justice, lawyers’ fraternity must play role in exposing human rights abuses by India forces in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
He urged the Central Bar Association to constitute a committee to monitor the Kashmir liberation movement activities and promote these through social media.
AJK President said lawyers are fully aware about the international human rights laws and can raise the issue of human rights abuses in IOK effectively.
