PITB automated entire process of CDR to curb crimes: Dr Saif

The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) in a partnership with the Punjab Police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has automated the entire process of Call Data Record (CDR) based analysis for curbing crimes in the province.
This system is operational in the Punjab Province and has so far completed 87,267 analysis reports.
The information was given at a progress review meeting chaired by Dr. Umar Saif founding Vice Chancellor of Information Technology University and PITB chairman Dr. Umar Saif in Lahore today.
The system acquires call record data from telecommunication companies and identifies criminals based on their calling patterns.APP/AFP
