NEW DELHI:In India, Congress leaders in Rajya Sabha have accused Narendra Modi government of involvement in a big scam in Rafale aircraft deal with France in 2015.
Participating in a debate on a motion in the Rajya Sabha, Congress deputy leader, Anand Sharma and other members of opposition parties said the ground reality is totally different in connection with the big scam in the Rafale aircraft deal with France.
They said the price at which the planes were negotiated was four times higher and benefitted private firms.
Sharma said Prime Minister Narendra Modi clinched the deal during his visit to France in 2015 without taking into confidence the Defence Minister and the Cabinet Committee on Security and even state-run Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.APP/AFP
