General (R) Pervaiz Musharraf in serious trouble

ISLAMABAD: Anti-terrorism court on Thursday heard the judges’ detention case and declared former president Pervez Musharraf wanted by issuing his arrest warrants.

Lawyers of the 73-year-old expressed his concerns about the provision of security for Pervez Musharraf and said that he cannot appear in court without foolproof security.

The court ordered interior secretary to provide foolproof security for Musharraf upon arriving in Pakistan. Judge Sohail Akram gave remarks that the retired general will have security alongside wherever he travels in the country.

“Show the photocopy of his travel ticket so that we can inform interior secretary to provide foolproof security for the former president”, the court remarked.

Meanwhile, the next hearing of this case is scheduled on March 14.
