Queen Maxima of Netherlands arrive in Islamabad today





ISLAMABAD: Netherland Queen Maxima has arrived in Islamabad on her three-day official visit. It is the first ever visit of Queen Maxima to Pakistan. Queen Maxima is also Special Advocate of United Nations Secretary General for Inclusive Finance for Development.

 

Queen Maxima was welcomed by Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme, Marvi Memon at the airport.

 

According to the Foreign Office, Queen Maxima will meet President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during her visit in Pakistan. Matters related to mutual interest and bilateral ties will be discussed in the meetings.

 

She will also call on private and official sector stakeholders. As a Special Advocate of UN on financial and development affairs she is running an awareness campaign across the world through which she promotes the idea of providing financial aid to institutes and people on easy terms.
