Afghan Taliban on verge of capturing more districts in Afghanistan

Local officials in Balkh province said, on Tuesday Taliban fighters first captured and then shot seven Afghan National Police members.
Munir Ahmad Farhad, a spokesman for the governor of Balkh, told the media on Wednesday, that the incident took place at around 12:00 pm yesterday in Chahar Bolak district of Balkh province.
Farhad added that Taliban fighters killed the seven policemen, immediately following their capture.
Some districts in Balkh province are under threat from Taliban attacks, and the group’s fighters have launched several operations to seize these districts, but have failed in their efforts.
The northern Balkh province is one of the relatively insecure provinces in the country where Taliban fighters are present and active in various areas of the province.
