PML-N wins mayor, deputy mayor slots unopposed

SIALKOT: (APP) Pakistan Muslim League-N won the seats of mayor and deputy mayor of Municipal Corporation Sialkot unopposed here on Friday, as no candidate submitted nomination papers against the PML-N candidates.
PML-N candidates Chaudhry Tauheed Akhtar and Chaudhry Bashir Ahmed were elected mayor and deputy mayor of Sialkot Municipal Corporation unopposed, respectively as no candidate of any other party submitted their nomination papers to the returning officer on the last day of filing of papers.
The PML-N jubilant activists took to the streets to celebrate the victory. They distributed sweets and also danced to the drum beats at the PML-N Central Office on Paris Road here.
