Quetta Blast: Supreme Court Bar Association observes 7-day mourning

LAHORE (APP): Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan (SCBAP) has announced 7-day mourning over the loss of precious lives in a deadly terrorist attack in Quetta.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, SCBAP president Syed Ali Zafar flanked by office bearers, condemned the incident and expressed sorrow over the killings of lawyers, media persons and other citizens. He also announced to observe 3-day strike and boycott court proceedings at the Supreme Court.
Terming the incident as an attack on lawyers community, he said, that such attacks could not demoralise them.
He demanded the federal and provincial governments to make the National Action Plan effective for curbing terrorism and ensure the security of lawyers across the country.
Ali Zafar said that lawyers would hold meetings and peaceful protests to condemn the incident during the mourning period.
Secretary SCBAP Asad Manzoor Butt expressed sorrow over the target killing of former President Balochistan High Court Bar Bilal Anwar Kasi.
