Azadi Mushahira to be held by Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL)

ISLAMABAD (APP): Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) will organize national level 'Azadi Mushaira' on August 12 in connection with Independence Day celebrations.
Chairman PAL Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qasim Bughio told APP on Tuesday that poets of different languages including Urdu, Saraiki, Pushto, Sindhi, Balochi, Hindko would participate in Mushaira from across the country.
He said that the poets will pay tributes to our national hero's in their poetry.
Dr. Bughio said that young writers and poets also invited in 'Mushaira' for recitation of poetry, adding that youth could play a very vital role in the progress and prosperity of the country.
He said that literary personalities had played very significant role in the independence of country.
Later, PAL would also arrange a lecture to highlight the sacrifices rendered by our elders for the independence of the country.
He said that the participants will discuss the `Role of writers in Independence of Pakistan' and discussion on `Role of writers in the progress of Pakistan'.
