PPP leader calls COAS General Bajwa to intervene and save constitution

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar has called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa to intervene and issue a statement on the crisis in the country if the government fails to hold voting on the no-confidence motion today.
“The COAS must speak out and say that he is standing with the Constitution of Pakistan like a professional soldier,” Khokhar said in a tweet.
The National Assembly session has once again been adjourned till 7.30 PM, as the opposition accuses the government of using delaying tactics to derail the process.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has called a cabinet meeting at 9.30 PM tonight, which has strengthened the impression that the government will not let voting on the no-confidence motion take place.
