Interior Ministry approached to enhance PM Imran Khan security in wake of threat alert

The Principal Secretary of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Azam Khan Saturday wrote a letter to the Interior Ministry regarding the security of Imran Khan as being former prime minister.
As per sources, the letter asked about the security arrangements for Imran Khan as a former premier in wake of a security alert.
A commission headed by the additional secretary of the interior ministry will review the letter, interior ministry sources said.
Interior Ministry sources said that Imran Khan would be provided adequate security as per the recommendation of the Security Review Committee.
It is pertinent to note that former prime ministers have given the security of the police.
