IHC grants interim bail to Nimar Majeed in fake accounts case

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted one week interim bail to Nimar Majeed, son of Omni Group’s head Anwar Majeed, in the fake accounts case.

A division bench of the IHC comprising Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhter Kiani heard the bail petition of Nimar Majeed.

The petitioner’s counsel pleaded that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed a reference in the fake accounts case in the accountability court but it had not shared its details with his client so far.

He said the accountability court had fixed April 16 to hear the case and prayed the court to grant interim bail to his client.

The court accepted his plea granting the interim bail to Nimar Majeed against surety bonds of Rs one million and adjourned the case for a week.
