North Korea claims successful test of long range missile engine

PYONGYANG: North Korea claimed that it conducted successful test of long range missile engine capable to strike US mainland.

North claimed that the engine is developed for an intercontinental ballistic missile (IBM) and could carry nuclear warheads.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said “The great success… provided a firm guarantee for mounting another form of nuclear attack upon the US imperialists and other hostile forces.”

“Now North Korea can tip new type of intercontinental ballistic rockets with more powerful nuclear warheads and keep any cesspool of evils in the earth including US mainland within our striking range.”

North’s official news agency KCNA claimed that the test was personally ordered and monitored by young leader Kim.

Earlier, North Korea claimed that it conducted a successful test of solid fuel missile engine and also developed a technology to protect warheads from extreme heat during their launch.

Tensions rose in the region after North’s launch of satellite with the help of long range missile technology in February.

US and its allies also tightened UN sanctions against North to stop its nuclear programme.

Analyst Steve Evans claimed that North Korea is completing all the tasks one-by-one that are required to built a nuclear missile capable to strike US mainland.
