Former Coach Mickey Arthur stunning remarks over Pakistani former skipper Sarfraz Ahmed

Karachi: Former Pakistan coach Mickey Arthur has revealed that he enjoyedworking with former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and he was a very popular leaderinside the dressing room.

Current Sri Lankan head coach in an interview with Aamir Sohail on hisYoutube channel said Sarfaraz kept the balance with players on and off thefield.

“My relationship with Sarfaraz was outstanding. I was very privileged towork with great leaders like Graeme Smith, Michael Clarke and Misbahul Haq.Sarfaraz had something I hadn’t seen before. He had the ability to be anauthoritative voice, like a disciplinarian on the field, but when he cameinto the dressing room, he transformed into a brother to the guys. He hadthat,” Arthur said.

“People always saw what happened on the field, like his movements, but theydidn’t see the other side of Sarfaraz in the dressing room. He was a verypopular leader inside the changing room, and I loved working with him,” headded.

Arthur believes that Sarfaraz was always ahead of the game with histechnical knowledge, particularly in T20 cricket.

It must be noted that Sarfaraz was sacked from captaincy in all formatslast year in October.
