ISLAMABAD – Nation observes the 142nd birth anniversary of poet of the Eastand philosopher, Hakeemul-Ummat, Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal with greatnational zeal and fervor across the country today.
Various literary, educational, political, social and cultural organizationshave arranged special programmes to pay homage to the national poet andhighlight different aspects of his life and teachings.

Meanwhile, a graceful change of guard ceremony was held at mausoleum of DrAllama Muhammad Iqbal in Lahore.
A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy took charge of the guardduties.
