WhatsApp launching most interesting feature for users across the World

Meta-owned messaging app WhatsApp has introduced a solution for its betatesters to easily share media without heavy compression, addressing along-standing drawback. While sending media was straightforward, WhatsApp’ssignificant compression was a notable downside.

Although it’s been some time since users could share high-definition imagesand videos, compression remained unavoidable.

Finally, WhatsApp is providing beta testers with a convenient way to shareuncompressed media. In WhatsApp, documents are sent without compression, allowing you to share uncompressed images and videos by attaching them asdocuments.

This approach necessitates using the Android system file picker instead ofthe WhatsApp media picker interface, potentially posing a challenge inlocating media within your phone’s internal storage if you’re unfamiliarwith its location.

Last month, WABetaInfo reported that Meta was working on a new option inthe document sharing menu, redirecting to the WhatsApp media picker.WABetaInfo now confirms that this option is available to beta testers viathe Google Play Store. With a 2GB file size limit, beta testers canconfidently share images and videos without worrying about a loss insharpness, detail, or color, as the images retain their HEIC metadata.
